    John McKowen brings a track record of funding successful companies as CEO of VetaNova, Inc. in Denver. His activities in the Colorado cannabis industry have included funding, acquiring, and leasing more than $20 million in cannabis assets. John McKowen gained experience in industries ranging from Internet services to energy and natural resources development.

    Mr. McKowen's notable career accomplishments include backing and supporting two enterprises that launched as small startup operations and grew to become publicly traded companies with billion-dollar stock market capitalizations. For several years, he also served as founding chairman and CEO of Two Rivers Water and Farming Company, a water and land resources business focused on acquiring assets in the Huerfano River and Cucharas River basins in southeastern Colorado. Prior to leaving Two Rivers, he took the company public with $30 million in water assets.

    A long-time Denver resident, John McKowen holds a BA in economics from Metropolitan State University of Denver. He also studied business and securities law at the University of Denver's Sturm College of Law.
